We offer a person-centred and flexible approach to mediation and conflict coaching.
After experiencing a negative and drawn out process in the family court system, I decided to explore the benefits of mediation both in my personal circumstances and also to identify how it could benefit the delayed and costly court processes, especially in family and child arrangement disputes.
Having first hand experience of the current barriers in the Family Court Law system, I have been both involved and witness to the devastating consequences that can occur from an often time consuming and expensive procedure on the disputants but more importantly on the children concerned.
It was from this negative and often exhaustive experiences that I decided to become a qualified Level 4 Mediator to try and help others before reaching that stage.
I have also had an extensive career in health and social care in which I have gained vast experience of managing conflict and delivering bespoke training in line with regulations and policies.
All of these experiences have lead me to be able to skillfully and professionally support individuals who may be experiencing difficulties or are in complex and prolonged challenges.
From me you can expect a holistic and person-centred approach which encompasses your needs and helps guide you towards resolution.
Mediation is often an unknown and new process, or has been referred to during the commencement of legal services or recommended by a third party such as social workers.
Mediation can be applied to many different situations and environments that involve some element of dispute. These can range from minor disagreements to child arrangement decisions.
The purpose of a mediator is to provide an impartial person whom meets with all disputants individually, creating open and welcoming support in which to guide towards consideration of resolve and agreement.
The mediator does not provide solutions or ideas, their role is to create a person-centred environment in which disputants can be guided and assisted to identify their own needs and wishes, hopefully with the aim of a resolution being sought.
If all parties have been able to engage, the mediator then ensures that all measures are taken to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the parties to either meet or be presented with information from the other, in which to lead a positive and forward focused communication to seek ideal and tested resolutions.
Within a 15 year health and social care ranging from care assistant to senior management positions, I have naturally developed skills and abilities in which I manage conflict, but also coach and mentor others to do so.
Following the realisation that I wished to utilise this experience with the interest in supporting people who have had similar personal experiences, I went on to gain my teaching qualification.
Utilising and combining these means I am able to provide bespoke conflict coaching and mentorship to those working in management roles and positions in health and social care. This is completed by thorough assessment combined with coupling of the company's policies and procedures and then delivering a tailored and specific course.
Within my experiences I have managed formal complaints and embargo statuses from local authorities in which these have been lifted and audited resulted in 'Good' and 'Outstanding', but also with CQC Improvement and Action Plans that have directly involved the development of conflict management and the professional development of management staff.
I am able to create and deliver training and coaching to all roles from senior care assistants through to area management in the domains of: conflict management, emotional management, management styles and adaptations, neurodiversity training, complaint management, CQC and Local Authority relations and development of the Registered Manager role.
